Welcome to the IWAC Proposals Website

Welcome to the session proposal site for the 18th International Writing Across the Curriculum Conference. The conference will be held on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono July 7-10, 2027. You can view the full conference site at https://iwac.wacclearinghouse.org/. The conference is presented by the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum (AWAC), which was formed in 2018. Registration for IWAC 2027 will be open in late fall 2026.

Getting Ready to Make a Proposal

Creating a proposal involves the following steps.

  1. Review the call for proposals.
  2. Review the proposal guidelines.
  3. Create an account, if you haven't done so yet. This is a brief process that allows us to link your name and email address with the proposals you create.
  4. Or login, if you've already created an account.
  5. Fill out the form. This is a multi-step process that allows you to create the proposal and then add speakers and/or a file to the proposal.
  6. Submit the proposal. This involves clicking on a button.
